Menopause Symptoms...
What are the symptoms...?Menopause affects every woman differently. Your only menopause symptoms may be your period stopping. You may have other symptoms, too. Many symptoms at this time of life happen because you are getting older. It’s not always possible to tell if symptoms are related to aging, menopause, or both. Some changes you might notice as you get close include: - Change in pattern of periods (They can be shorter or longer, lighter or heavier, or there may be more or less time between periods.)
- Hot flashes (sometimes called hot flushes), night sweats (sometimes followed by a chill)
- Trouble sleeping through the night (with or without night sweats)
- Vaginal dryness
- Mood swings, feeling crabby, or crying spells
- Trouble focusing, "fuzzy thinking," or forgetfulness
- Hair loss or thinning on your head or more hair growth on your face
Long-range issues include osteoporosis, heart and vascular disease, and how to live a full and reasonably happy life. You may have only a few menopausal symptoms, or you may have every one in the book. Under normal circumstances, you should not feel rushed to make decisions to cope with these symptoms. But if they began because of a medical, surgical, or "cold turkey" menopause, and if there are any particular menopause symptoms that stand in the way of your normal activities, you may be eager to get help. Start with the simplest, mildest remedy with the broadest benefit and the least number of side effects, then gradually move on to stronger forms or amounts of treatment. Careful exercise is an ideal example of therapeutic measures with minimal drawbacks: - it strengthens your bones and heart
- controls weight
- lessens hot flashes
- improves your sleep
- boosts your energy
- revs up your sex drive
- and makes your skin glow—without side effects
At the potent end of the treatment spectrum is estrogen therapy, recommended almost automatically by many physicians for most significant menopausal symptoms in women without breast cancer. If you have had breast cancer, you may be just as automatically told you cannot have estrogen therapy. Investigate. Find a doctor who thinks through your case and looks at you as an individual. Few doctors want to take the risk, since estrogen stimulates breast cell growth. If you are uncomfortable and are desperately seeking a solution, look to creative solutions and the full range of therapies that might serve you.
Testimonials... Author: Bonita Shelby 2006-06-19"I have been drinking about 2 ounces of 'Ningxia Red' for the last two years on a daily basis. I have noticed that my allergies have cleared, my hair has grown and is healthy, no morning aches and pains, improved memory, no menopause symptoms and most notable & verifiable--my eyesight has improved in both eyes and this has been verified by my eyeglass and contact lens prescriptions coming down .25 and .50 points. I am sure there are other benefits that I don't even know are happening to my body. Ningxia Red is my lifetime elixir."

- Geranium
- Peppermint
- Valor
- Trauma Life
- NingXia Red
For hot flashes, night sweats and insomnia, I use Clary sage for its hormone balancing ability. I dilute my Clary, 15 drops of Clary Sage to 4ml of carrier oil. I keep this in a roll-on bottle by my bedside. Just one roll down the bottom of each foot and then a quick massage to work it in and I sleep through the night with no night sweats and no 2 am wake up. Clary Sage is a very effective oil and not much is needed to achieve the desired effect. Please note that Clary also enhances the sedative effects of alcohol and drugs so use extra sparingly if you must use these types of drugs. Yes, alcohol is a drug!
Geranium is another great hormone-balancing oil that is best for daytime use because many find it to be stimulating. It too can be diluted in a quality carrier oil. Apply it to the bottom of feet, to the wrist or draw a line with it across the bottom of your tummy when you get out of the shower in the morning. In as little as 1 to 3 days you will probably notice the classic menopause symptoms disappearing. When using either Clary Sage or Geranium, you can use it intermittently as the symptoms appear. If you chose to use either of them daily, discontinue use after 3 weeks and wait a week before you start again.
Peppermint applied to the neck or temples is a great quick fix relief from hot flashes. It does not help the hormonal imbalance but does improve circulation.
Valor and Trauma Life will help ease your way as you make the life changes demanded. Menopause is a time of change. Your body is asking you to recognize a different phase of your life and honor it. This means we have to redefine who we are as women. Valor gives us the strength and courage to become who we are meant to be. Trauma Life helps us release the pain of past lessons so we can be free to embrace our future. And please, if you are not drinking NingXia Red, start now! I believe Ningxia Red helps your changing metabolism stay more balanced. Hormones play such an important role in all the body systems that affect metabolism hence the range of menopause symptoms you see. Ningxia not only provides some great anti-oxidants but it also helps your body efficiently use the fuels you supply it with. Menopause is asking us to change. This does not have to be a traumatic time if we gracefully accept the invitation to step into a new role. Finding ways to provide your body with it's new requirements and embracing the new journey ahead will ease this time in your life." Blessings, Dianna
